We’re so glad that 2020 is over, isn’t it? And a lot happened in our lives during our ‘stay at home’ days. It was during one of the Stay at Home Gigs by Task Force for Music and Arts (TaFMA) on 26th April, 2020 that we were blown away by the breezy attitude and sheer spunk of Iuli Yeptho as she fronted her band Trance Effect.

Uniting inspiring messages with an element of fun, this Quarantine (video) version of track “Took Me A While” by Trance Effect is a neat tune.

“Took Me A While” by Trance Effect.

Just like the song, it’s gonna take us a while to be able to attend live gigs and for artists to perform in front of big crowds once again. “We’d rather prefer doing live shows than doing online gigs but given the situation we have done some online gigs, but it’s never like the thrill and excitement we get when we do live gigs in front of an audience,” are the thoughts of the band members.

The band — Trance Effect, consists of:
Iuli Yeptho on Vocals
Sosang Lkr on Drums
Tako Chang on Guitar
Imnamaong Imchen on Bass
Temsujungba Jamir on Guitar

Trance Effect is the new-gen Indie rock band from India’s Nagaland state.

With 70,000+ hits on YouTube, the music video “Clowns” is a like a roller-coaster journey of life with several emotions. Trance Effect wants to connect to the younger generation emotionally and lyrically. The sound of this Dimapur (Nagaland) based band takes us back to musical style of punk rock bands like Blondie especially with those rock guitar riffs. Go on a road trip and feel the magic when you listen to these lyrics from the track — Clowns:

“If only i could travel
Travel through time
I could tell if i was uncertain
Another day to start over again.”

Not that we endorse any brands but we liked the quirk and style in the way the prints are done!
